And then my head stopped working so good because of all the learning teaching crass.

The reason I haven't been so up-to-date with my blog, because I know you're all wondering, is because I start my CELTA course which will teach me how to teach English to people who can't already do this, in one month. I am afraid for my life. I have to go through two textbooks enyclopaedias and a 32-page bugga annoying pre-course task thing before I begin the course. Why?

Well because Cambridge University is a South African bigot prestigious university and likes to throw people into the deep end of hell. That's right. I start teaching on the second day of the course - so I need to know how to do this before I get there. In November.

I'm afraid because I have to go through so much and my brain hurts from all the not sleeping so good because of the OMG-they-making-me-teach-real-foreigners-on-the-second-day-of-the-course feeling. Yeah. I'm pretty tired. But Cami made me feel capable of doing this course even though I blog when I should be studying.

So I might not blog as irregularly as I have been. Because that's how I roll.

My head hurts.

Bother.

Plenty of people pass it without doing any more than the absolute minimum of pre-reading, but every single thing you read will make your life easier once you do start.

Thanks, you have reassured me. I am going through the material twice before I start so that I am quite up to date with it. I think I'm just intimidated with the language/ grammar aspects of it. Although I studied English at varsity, I haven't studied grammar in a while. I know when something's wrong but may not be able to say why. This is why I'm going through the course material in depth before I start.

I see you do TEFL. Excellent! Any positions in France that you know of? I want to relocate sometime next year - mostly because I speak French.

Hez: I know. I'm being a noob. I'm not so scared after Alex's comment. I'm an okay teacher mostly because I throw sweets at my students/learners/pupils when they get stuff right. And if they do extra good I throw beer at them. You pick up these little tricks on the way.
